Wush Poppin everybody,
Well im writing this blog to tell everyone who doesn’t no about the “Umoja Fest” and for those who know about it, but didn’t go. The 2008 Umoja Fest Aug.1st-3rd at Judkins Park Seattle,wa was crackin, it had alot of Entertainment, Games, Rides, Food, and a Positive message for the Black Youth to hear, this message was to enlighten our youth to not get into “Gang Violence” and “Drugs” and to stay in school, to stay in a positive state of mind and i think this year the Festival was more popular than it’s been in awhile and that the message got out to the youth alot.
My expericence with the ”Umoja Fest” was energetic, fun and entertaining. I had to manage 2 activities and volunteer security for 2 nights straight. I think that eventhough I did alot of work I had fun and helped my community, because thats what it is all about, making a difference!:)
